What do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reuseable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to establish this a successful habit?

Great questions - and I think that the system that could be implemented might include many options: No plastic bags at any store, a bin of non-disposable bags that people donate (so many of us have a stack of these around - and even if they are a bit worn, I bet that shoppers would use them if they were there and were free),

  I lLOVE the idea of having a bin of reusable bags at stores! Kinda like the Little Free Library. I find that I often have more bags than I need but somehow I don't always have one with me.
