  • Reflection Question
    Health Healthy Sleep
Consider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?

For me, the sleep challenge is linked to the less social media challenge. Oftentimes, while in bed I would scroll on my smartphone with the intention of only doing so for a few minutes but then before I realized it, 30 or more minutes had flown by and I hadn't gone to sleep when I intended. Last night I didn't pick up my smartphone and went to sleep when I intended. It was a challenge though and will be a hard habit to break!
  • Reflection Question
    Nature Spend Time Outside
Rachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?

Between work and school and other commitments, I haven’t been getting enough outdoor time lately and I can tell. I feel frazzled and out of touch. It felt great to grab the dog & head outside when I returned home from work this evening. This intentional reminder to spend time outdoors is much appreciated.

I just chose my actions and am excited to get started. There are so many great challenges to choose from, it was hard to pick just a few!
