I remember that life isn’t a race. I often move too quickly and somewhat make myself more nervous for doing it. It’s just nice to slow down at life’s pace once and a while.

    Water 5-Minute Showers
Five minute showers are an impressive step toward reducing your water footprint. What is the next step you can take?

Scheduling my gym workouts in the afternoon would be the best way to do it, but I don't like working out in the afternoon, so I really don't know what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions?

That's a tough one Travis.  A good, and safe workout is done best when you're in the right frame of mind, and physical readiness.  I'm a triathlete so I can relate to the timing.  During the season I have to get more training time in later in the day...not my best time to workout either.

There are a few things you can try.  One is to mix it up!  1. Schedule early morning workouts, making them your "best" workout.  It can also be a shorter workout (you'd be surprised what you can get done with an interval workout that's only 30 minutes).  2. On opposite days schedule those afternoon workouts which would not be so intense.  Maybe it's 30 minutes to an hour of cardio.  For example: I get up at 4am for my best workouts (I know, crazy...but I have to get those in before the day starts or I'll bail later on).   On opposite days I do my long distance rides later in the day.  These are much less intense, but work towards endurance.  If you have kiddos, that later day workout might be a nice walk with the family!  It all counts.

Are you using any apps or workout programs?  MyFitnessPal.com is a favorite of mine.  It super easy to use, which is mandatory for me!  And very practical; you can create and personalize your meal plans, exercise efforts, etc.  You don't have to be a star athlete to use it, which again is mandatory for me (no star-action here, LOL).

Keep trying new things until you find what works for you Travis,

It's going okay today. I'm still looking for time to watch a food documentary. I need some chill time. I hope to get out on a hike today.

I hope everyone had a good weekend! It was kind of foggy and cold, but I got out and went hiking with a big group of friends at Perrot State Park and had a blast. Did anyone else do anything outdoorsy?

      Hi Travis,
I love Perrot! I hike with my dog there twice a week. I took my dog and we headed up north to Copper Falls State Park to camp for the weekend.  We covered 10.11 miles of trails and 490 steps!  I could not resist the observation tower; 205 steps to the top.  Then we headed out to Potato River Falls to find we needed to hike to the bottom of the gorge to view the falls...which meant coming back up to the top = 285 more STEPS. My quads are still crying!
Glad you got out and enjoyed the park,
      Rox

I went to PFC and bought some locally sourced foods. With that came a donation to one of three charities. The brown paper sack in the rain wasn’t such a great idea.

To funny Travis! I've got a'gazzillion totes I've gotten for free over the years; you can have at least half of them if you like, LOL.

I'm not really sure. I would guess by the river or coal, but really don't have a clue. Maybe someone doing the challenge can help me with the answer?

Writing a gratitude list is something that I used to do on a regular basis, but has slowly fallen out of my routine. It feels wonderful to be back doing it.

I don’t think I’ve taken this short of a shower in my life.
