What do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than in other places, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?

I think the many fast food places contributes to people in North America eating more meat than in other places. Most, if not all, fast food places offer mainly meat products. What this says about North American values and ways of living is that we value junk food more than our health. We can start shifting a meat focused food culture by adding more leafy foods to menus and advertise the more, so that people will more likely consume them.

In your opinion, how do social inequalities diminish a strong sense of community?

Social inequalities diminish a strong sense of community by creating walls that really shouldn't be there. Everyone needs the aid of everyone else, we are literally  a species who depended on others and social interactions to survive. We still do now.

Great points, Pranitha...Imagine what our school and neighborhood communities would be like if we took down some of those walls and created equality.

I can incorporate the R's ( reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose )in my lifestyle by thinking before I throw something in the trash.

How is electricity generated where you live? How does it impact the environment, animals, and humans?

I have no idea how the electricity is generated where I live. So, yeah, that's gonna a question I'm going ask sooner or later. Electricity impacts the environment by giving light to everything, making things automatically work, and other things. It can also impact it by polluting it. Light pollution makes the stars at night harder and harder to see. This impacts animals too. A lot of animal die from causes involving electricity, and it makes me sad every time thinking about it. Really, humans are the ones who benefit the most from electricity. And creates things to be more faster and simpler.

How does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?

Practicing gratitude can keep you centered and motivated to work better for the world because, you realize how much the world offers. The world gives so much, and by being thankful for that, you can see why you need to protect it.

At first it was difficult, and I kept making mistakes such as using straws and eating meat. It was so natural  for me to do theses things. But then I got the hang of it.
