    I went through all my online systems, banking and billing, and selected paperless billing over the weekend. I have also started separating out my garbage so that I can recycle items such as carboard and plastic.

    We will not be able to monitor our home temp from our phones! It will notify us if someone changes the temp above or below a certain set point!

    An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?

    We have conciously been paying more attention to this. That money could go to much better use paying off bills towards early retirement!
