  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Waste Advocate For More Food Packaging Options
What concerns you the most about how we are affecting the planet? Consider both local and global actions.

Burning of the fossil fuels is my biggest concern, alternate sources of energy should be made available and should be economical enough for people to pick the alternative.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Use Public Transit
The US spends roughly 20% of its federal budget on defense. In contrast, 2% goes to education, 20% goes to social security and 3% goes to transportation infrastructure. Do these numbers surprise you at all? Why or why not?

    Ragini Joshi 10/24/2018 5:53 AM
The numbers do surprise me. The government should encourage the use of public transport not only in urban areas but everywhere.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Water Mulch the Base of Trees and Plants
Where are your nearest natural bodies of water? How might they be affected by runoff?

    Ragini Joshi's avatar
    Ragini Joshi 10/24/2018 5:51 AM
There is a lake nearby. Intense flooding could cause loss of wildlife habitat and nursery habitat.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Water Insulate Water Pipes and Water Heater
How do you think climate change will affect your region’s water supply? Think about the effects of weather, storms, salinity, and sea level rise, among other changes. How can you find out more about climate change’s impact to your region's water?

    Ragini Joshi 10/24/2018 5:49 AM
Climate changes cause short term droughts in my region. Information can be found on government websites also in research papers.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Water 5-Minute Showers
Five minute showers are an impressive step toward reducing your water footprint. What is the next step you can take?

    Ragini Joshi's avatar
    Ragini Joshi 10/23/2018 6:41 AM
The next step would be to hand wash utensils than always using the dishwasher.

What's next...if you are not already doing these things, try 7-9 hours of sleep,  maybe a tool to track 10,000 steps per day, and drink plenty of water. Trying adding those to your lifestyle change. Stay healthy and congratulations on your five-minute shower.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Energy Replace Manual Thermostats
How do you anticipate replacing your thermostats for programmable ones will positively impact your life?

    Ragini Joshi's avatar
    Ragini Joshi 10/23/2018 6:39 AM
Programmable ones will definitely save more energy by auto setting the temps when no one is at home. Also will reduce the bill!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Energy Choose Clean/Renewable Energy
How might you be able to get others involved in advocating for the shift to clean energy?

    Ragini Joshi's avatar
    Ragini Joshi 10/23/2018 6:37 AM
Best way is to show them the impact global warming has on earth. Shifting to clean energy is a must!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Car Share
Take a moment to think of places you frequent often (work, grocery store, natural areas). Could you choose one or two days a week to schedule driving with a friend, neighbor or co-worker to these places?

    Ragini Joshi's avatar
    Ragini Joshi 10/23/2018 6:30 AM
I would love to car share to work. There is an app that I use to find people to carshare with.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

Yoga and meditation helps. Also unwinding with some movies or with friends helps me through stress!
