REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Advocate For More Food Packaging OptionsWhat concerns you the most about how we are affecting the planet? Consider both local and global actions.
Ragini Joshi 10/24/2018 5:58 AMBurning of the fossil fuels is my biggest concern, alternate sources of energy should be made available and should be economical enough for people to pick the alternative. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Use Public TransitThe US spends roughly 20% of its federal budget on defense. In contrast, 2% goes to education, 20% goes to social security and 3% goes to transportation infrastructure. Do these numbers surprise you at all? Why or why not?
Ragini Joshi 10/24/2018 5:53 AMThe numbers do surprise me. The government should encourage the use of public transport not only in urban areas but everywhere. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWater Mulch the Base of Trees and PlantsWhere are your nearest natural bodies of water? How might they be affected by runoff?
Ragini Joshi 10/24/2018 5:51 AMThere is a lake nearby. Intense flooding could cause loss of wildlife habitat and nursery habitat. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWater Insulate Water Pipes and Water HeaterHow do you think climate change will affect your region’s water supply? Think about the effects of weather, storms, salinity, and sea level rise, among other changes. How can you find out more about climate change’s impact to your region's water?
Ragini Joshi 10/24/2018 5:49 AMClimate changes cause short term droughts in my region. Information can be found on government websites also in research papers. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWater 5-Minute ShowersFive minute showers are an impressive step toward reducing your water footprint. What is the next step you can take?
Ragini Joshi 10/23/2018 6:41 AMThe next step would be to hand wash utensils than always using the dishwasher.-
Irene Matthews 10/23/2018 6:54 AMWhat's next...if you are not already doing these things, try 7-9 hours of sleep, maybe a tool to track 10,000 steps per day, and drink plenty of water. Trying adding those to your lifestyle change. Stay healthy and congratulations on your five-minute shower.

REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Car ShareTake a moment to think of places you frequent often (work, grocery store, natural areas). Could you choose one or two days a week to schedule driving with a friend, neighbor or co-worker to these places?
