REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Forage for My FoodAmongst the motivations for foraging are: a source of food; means of income; connecting with nature; cultural tradition; or transmitting "local ecological knowledge, and a means for stewarding local and native plant populations" (McLain et al. 2012, 13). Which of these would be your chief motivation and why?

REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Needs Vs. WantsHow is creativity necessary for practicing simplicity?
Haleh K 10/19/2018 1:22 PMLet me give an example. A few months ago I required some white papers to write on. A day while walking, I noticed a new big store somewhere around our house. The store window was completely covered with white papers! Though it was unusual and difficult, I entered the store and asked the salesman if he could give me the papers instead of throwing them away! He accepted and gave them on the inauguration day of the store. Can I name it as a creative ecofriendly action for practicing simplicity?😉😊 -
Haleh K 10/18/2018 11:45 AMMy brother was displeased yesterday due to spending a lot of time each day in front of his cell phone screen. I proposed him to unfollow some channels. He accepted this simple advice and today he feels much better. Now he can save more time for other activities. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsWhat do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than in other places, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?
Haleh K 10/16/2018 11:37 AMThere are various recipese for meatless foods all around the world and in different nations and cultures. If we start to try some of them, it may help to find delicious tastes and change our meat-focused foods gradually. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Less Screen TimeWhat did you notice in implementing this challenge? Was it hard to choose other activities over screen time? How did you decide to spend your time?
Haleh K 10/15/2018 8:32 AMNo it wasn't hard! I spent part of my time on gardening, which is really enjoyable to me. -
