An estimated 71% of seabirds and 30% of turtles have been found with plastics in their stomachs. When they ingest plastic, marine life has a 50% mortality rate. By asking for no straw when placing a drink order, I will keep 5 plastic straw(s) of out of the ocean each day.

What single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?

I could stop using Dunkin Donuts cups, Starbucks cups or any of the fast food cups straws or plates. Instead i will attempt to use a stainless steel bottle and use reusable straws to be as helpful to the environment as possible

Yes i feel as if in America we are less aware of these situations and that we should be actively trying to stop using cars as much as possible due to how bad they are to the environment or we should be looking into other alternatives
