What do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than in other places, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?

We are very privieledged here to have these resources so we abuse them. If people would lower there meat intake just a little each year we could move toward a less meat-focused culture!

Michael Pollan states that "it is better to pay the grocer (our edit: or the farmer!) than the doctor." What are your thoughts on this?

In some ways, I do believe it is better! Some of the reasons people have to go to the doctor is an unhealthy diet. So paying your grocer a little more can maybe save you some doctors visits!
