I have been thinking about how I can improve the bus stop nearest to my apartment, but it is right outside of a Goodwill and I don't think they would allow me to put something up to block the rain or a chair. Going to have to look around for another stop that would be more doable.

Challenges are going good so far. I have committed to taking shorter showers and trying to walk to close destinations instead of driving as much. It feels rewarding to cut down on my intake and nice to be outside.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Water 5-Minute Showers
Five minute showers are an impressive step toward reducing your water footprint. What is the next step you can take?

Reusing dishes, avoiding unnecessary water waste such as flushing things that could be thrown in the trash, turning off the water while brushing my teeth and using cold water when washing clothes.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Improve a Bus Stop
How can you advocate for transportation systems which minimize environmental impact while also meeting human needs?

One way to advocate for this cause would be to encourage people to support clean energy that would allow for the buses  to run cleaner. I know some of the buses run on cleaner fuel, and that is great.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nature Spend Time Outside
Rachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?

This definitely rings true to me. Nature provides clean air and habitats for many animals. Being outside in nature allows me to disconnect from the world around me and rejuvenate.

I drive to work everyday, and during the school year I drive everyday for that as well.
I wanted to see what ways I could help reduce my impact and encourage myself to be more active.
