REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Try CarpoolingWhat are the factors that influence your choice of transportation? These can include things like money, time, and convenience, as well as perceptions of danger or safety.
Jennifer Koop 10/15/2018 12:12 PMUsually it all boils down to convenience. In my current location, public transportation is not even an option in terms of a daily commute. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Drive LessHow has your access to various kinds of transportation throughout your life influenced your current attitudes about transportation and your transportation behavior?
Jennifer Koop 10/15/2018 12:10 PMI have had the opportunity to use many forms of public transportation. I found them very easy to use and so I am a proponent. Experience is everything for this one! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsWhat do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than in other places, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?
Jennifer Koop 10/15/2018 12:10 PMNorth Americans are, generally speaking, quite wealthy. Meat has long been a food of the wealthy. To break such a cycle we need to educate on the environmental costs of a meat-rich diet (no pun intended). If we seek out less meat focused foods, there will be a demand-supply chain that forms and eventually outplaces the meat demand-supply chain that current exists. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Whole Foods DietMichael Pollan states that "it is better to pay the grocer (our edit: or the farmer!) than the doctor." What are your thoughts on this?
