An estimated 71% of seabirds and 30% of turtles have been found with plastics in their stomachs. When they ingest plastic, marine life has a 50% mortality rate. By asking for no straw when placing a drink order, I will keep 1-2 plastic straw(s) of out of the ocean each day.

I actually set a timer for 4 minutes and 45 seconds before getting in the shower so I knew when to get out. Man! What a fast shower that was.

I purchased a reusable straw about 3 weeks ago. I have used it so much. It feels nice to leave that plastic straw behind. It seems like such a small step, yet I know I am doing my part.
