Waste
Skip the Straw
Plastic bags and small plastic pieces like straws are most likely to get swept into our waterways. I will keep 6 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill and ocean each day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.

Emily Lindloff 10/14/2018 2:54 PMSince the start of the challenge I vowed to not use non reusable straws. By not using straws, I feel like what I do makes a difference to the environment. Whenever I go out to eat, I ask the waitress for no straws. I keep a reusable straw in my backpack, that I use around campus. My next step is to get a fold-able one for my purse. I no longer feel the need to use a plastic straw. I have found I prefer using the stainless steel straws. I hope, people who read this comment will think about investing in reusable straws and see how it changes your everyday life.
