    Food
What do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than in other places, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?

I think it has to do with our family and the way meat is viewed as "status" in society today.  Meat is more expensive than vegetables.  It "adds social status" if we can afford meat.  When we think about our families that immigrated here from other countries, they probably came here relatively poor (I know my family did).  And as their lives here became more full and rich, their diets included more meat which is seen as a "status" in their original countries.  As the generations passed, eating meat becomes a staple at the dinner table.  Now, generations need to think of meat less of a "habit" or "comfort food".  It has a bigger impact on the world now.

Day one of me being all-in!  Too bad it took me a couple days to set this all up!
