REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Meet My Local FarmersWhen you know who produces your food, you are connecting personally to your complex regional food system. What are the advantages of knowing who produces your food and where it comes from? Do you think this might enable someone to advocate for a better quality of life for those who produce their food, both near and far?
Alison Magill 10/07/2018 6:30 PMToday I went to an on-farm dinner and not only met a farmer but all the food served was produced locally, either on the farm or neighboring farms. Creating a community of people through a shared meal makes us all so appreciative of the hard work a farmer does to provide for others. It certainly raises the awareness of the difference between what I ate today and the mass-produced processed food that most people are unfortunate enough to have to eat. Feeling very thankful!
