REFLECTION QUESTIONNatureEducator Stephanie Kaza advises her students to focus on what they care about most when addressing the enormity of ecological problems. Is there a specific area you feel particularly called to work on?
Kyle The builder 10/23/2018 4:56 PMI feel that one problem in my community is the amount of garbage left on community hiking trails. I definitely feel called to work in that area. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodHow can you use NWEI programs to help mobilize your community to take action toward a sustainable future?

REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportationWhat are the factors that influence your choice of transportation? These can include things like money, time, and convenience, as well as perceptions of danger or safety.
Kyle The builder 10/15/2018 5:33 PMIn general I like riding in a car to go places. The factors that influenced my choice are the fact that cars are generally fast and, if I carpool, they cost a relatively low price per mile and a low carbon emission per person. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWasteNew to composting? Be sure to check out the action resource links to learn tips and more about it. As you transition from throwing food away to composting, what do you notice about how much you are tossing? Do you know how your compost will be used and the benefits it has on the environment?
Kyle The builder 10/13/2018 5:43 AMI have noticed that the amount of food that is able to be composted is very large and the compost that is produced from composting can be used as dirt in my family's garden. This benefits the environment because it doesn't instead go to landfills. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergyHow is electricity generated where you live? How does it impact the environment, animals, and humans?
Kyle The builder 10/13/2018 5:36 AMElectricity that I use is generated by solar panels. Th is method of generation is good for the environment because it doesn't release pollution into the atmosphere.
