    Nature Support Local Pollinators
Why is it important to take care of pollinators?

Who knew there were 3600 species of bees in the U.S?
There is a lot to learn about our partnership with nature. Pollinators are the backbone of our health and well-being and we must do our part to help them thrive and survive.

The implications are availability, affordability, are cultural foods available and acceptable, improving/providing easy access, and reducing the risk of chronic diseases.

Great morning. I have noticed that I was going outside at about 6:15 a.m. to exercise but now I don't actually see daylight until about 7:00 a.m. Is it fall already?
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

To my knowledge one water concern is the quality of our drinking water. As more and more people move in, it seems to be more of a challenge.

I made and drank another cup of onion tea (onion skins and hot water). It was interesting to me but my dog didn't think so. He's fine. This is part of my zero-waste meal.

What an interesting idea. I've never heard of onion tea. Might have to give that a try!

My challenge is going well. However, it's very challenging to do the zero waste meal each day but it's working out. I just need to keep it simple.

Have you ever had a significant experience in nature that altered your perspective or focus? If so, please describe it.

I was able to focus when I experience nature walks. I find that my thoughts slow down and I am able to prioritize. Also, I am able to dismiss things that are not as important as I thought. I guess I'm rebooting. I definitely feel much lighter, figuratively speaking.
