So far, my challenge is actually going very well. For my challenges, I chose two under the Energy section called "Power Down the Computer" and "Adjust the Thermostat". For the computer challenge, the idea was to shut down my computer when it is not in use in order to save power and reduce emissions. When I chose this challenge, I sort of thought it would be a bother to have to turn off my computer every time, but it hasn't been much of a trouble and has actually caused an improvement in my computer's performance. As for the thermostat challenge, the idea was to set the thermostat 2 degrees below when using heat and 2 degrees above when using air conditioning. I chose this challenge because I felt like it would not be that much of a transition to adapt this new change, which it was not at all. By keeping the thermostat within a smaller range of temperatures, energy is being saved in a very easy and safe way. Overall, I am very happy with how each of these challenges are going, and since they are going so well, I most likely will end up keeping these habits after the end of October through the rest of the year.
