    Your utility company is able to tell you your average energy usage. Ask them how your energy usage compares to others in your zipcode, and in your state. What other steps can you take each day to reduce your electricity usage?

    Throughout this past weekend and week, I have been lowering my thermostat before bed to reduce energy while I am asleep. I just added a few more blankets to the bed to stay warm!

    I have started a trash log that I am keeping for the entire month. My hope is that I can find the things that I use the most and look for ways to reduce those products. This is extremely eye opening because even though I don't produce a ton of trash I am still using more trash items than I thought in a day.
