Sometimes the furnace maintenance visit will turn up unexpected things. I purchased a new furnace with heat pump about nine years ago. The thermostat went out and I had to have a repairman come to rewire it only to find out that the furnace had been installed incorrectly. I always wondered why my electric bill was always twice as high as anybody else in my neighborhood. It is now going down an average of about $150 a month in the summer sometimes the furnace maintenance visit will turn up unexpected things. I purchased a new furnace with heat pump about nine years ago. I think I’ll be taking some past and current electric bills to the original installer.
