    Why did I join ?  I thought to myself, 'Why not?'  Some of these things I had already started doing, but on others I needed a little shove.  After this I am signed up for the DMC 61 Day Challenge from Nov 1 thru Dec 31.  Come Join !

    Michael Pollan states that "it is better to pay the grocer (our edit: or the farmer!) than the doctor." What are your thoughts on this?

    If you are buying quality foods that contribute positively to your health, then yes, I agree.

    How can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?

    I like doing a few exercises on the deck while I am waiting for the dog to do her business.  Nothing big, just some toe touches and some twists from the waist and maybe a head roll or two.

    What do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than in other places, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?

    I think it comes from the pioneer days when not all food was plentiful, but there were animals around that could be used for food and other products.

    My family room has been so cluttered for a long time.  This past weekend I decided to start tackling the clutter.  I've thrown away 2 big bags of garbage, old magazines and toys, and found a gently used math set that I can donate to our elementary school.  Go me !
