Angel Much 10/22/2018 11:41 AMI get a Homechef box delivered every other week which has a couple vegetarian options to choose from so I usually pick at least one, like I did this week, that doesn't include meat. It's a great way to ensure the ingredients I get are the best available that are sourced and I learn some great and very tasty vegan dishes at the same time. -
Reflection QuestionHealth HappinessHow does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?
Angel Much 10/17/2018 12:07 PMI think periodically checking in with yourself like this is very important. Especially in todays world where everyone is so busy and everything is always going so fast and we're constantly bombarded by things via our phone, computer, emails, etc. living in this technological world. In lieu of that, it's very easy to lose sight of the things that you shouldn't take for granted and/or might not think about or take time to appreciate in your busy life. This challenge helps to ensure you'll do that - that you'll incorporate it into your daily routine. Plus, you should have increased feels of happiness and satisfaction from taking the time to do this and therefore hopefully treat others better as well. -
Angel Much 10/15/2018 7:27 AMI usually try to participate in the various challenges that are offered through work but this is the first one of it's kind and one in which I am very interested in. Protecting our environment is very important to me and I genuinely want to do what I can to try and help or make an impact. I chose the challenges I did because they are of particular importance to me and also activities that I hope this challenge can help motivate me to achieve/do better at so in the end...I don't need a challenge to do those things but instead begun to incorporate them into my regular/daily life. -
Angel Much 10/15/2018 7:06 AMThere's a business on the north side of La Crosse called Press Break - it's been several different things over the years but it once again is offering food items like sandwiches and what I like even more - Chicago style hotdogs and Italian beef sandwiches which I love! -
Reflection QuestionFood Reduce Animal ProductsWhat do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than in other places, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?
Angel Much 10/15/2018 7:03 AMI think in general Americans are starting to eat healthier as requirements are made in regards to nutrition labels etc. I also think there are a lot more options in regards to the health food market that taste better and are changing the ways Americans think about healthy/vegan food. I think continued education and increased options and availability to healthier/vegan foods is how we continue to try and shift our meat-focused food culture. -
Angel Much 8/29/2018 10:34 AMI've always cared about our environment and now more than ever it's crucial that we each try to do our part to go green and promote sustainability of Earth's resources. Our planet is a beautiful place and one that won't be around for future generations to come if we don't all pitch in!
