It was interesting to notice how more and more people in the smoothie lines on campus are skipping using a straw. I think that this is slowly going to make a positive impact on our environment, as well as influence others to do the same.

How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?

By using other reusable items, such as bags, water bottles, or containers, to avoid sending more trash to landfills. I think that straws are good place to start, but that we can do more as well.

I avoided using a plastic water bottle today by using my own reusable water bottle! I notice a lot of people on campus try to avoid using plastic water bottles, which I think is great.
