I am trying my best to complete and follow all my challenges to save some energy.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Use a Reusable Mug
Maybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reuseable one but it's just hard to make the switch. Think about what stands in your way of making this a habit. By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?

People at the coffee shop are not in habit of using my cup for coffee, they will put the coffee in their cup and then will pour in mine, which any ways is using one paper cup. I try my best not to buy coffee every morning from the shop and make my own and carry it in my own cup.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Skip the Straw
How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?

A lot of times I repurpose my old newspapers. I make paper bags from them and use them for other purposes in my house. I make multiple uses of my plastic boxes, which come as packages.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Use Reusable Bags
What do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reuseable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to establish this a successful habit?

First is I will try to buy a reusable bag from the source. If not available then ask for an empty cardboard recyclable box from the store. Or I will carry my stuff in the cart to my car. I will not accept a non recyclable one.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Meet My Local Farmers
When you know who produces your food, you are connecting personally to your complex regional food system. What are the advantages of knowing who produces your food and where it comes from? Do you think this might enable someone to advocate for a better quality of life for those who produce their food, both near and far?

I always prefer buying from local farmer markets, that way I meet and interact with the farmers who produce my food. I feel connected with them and listen to their problems and when ever needed I will be there to support them.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Choose Organic Ingredients
Can organic farming feed the world? Which side of the argument do you fall on? Why?

Organic farming can feed the world and save it from various kinds of medical problems. We need to look for various sources of organic fertilizers. We should inspire and support the farmers who go for organic farming. The prices of organic products need to be brought down too.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Reduce Single-Use Disposables
Bringing your own bags and containers to the grocery store, and even to restaurants for leftovers, are a couple of ways to reduce your waste. What single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?
