  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Use a Reusable Mug
Maybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reuseable one but it's just hard to make the switch. Think about what stands in your way of making this a habit. By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?

I appreciate this one little move on my part. I wish it was easier to convince others to do the same. When you stand in line at a coffee shop it can be overwhelming to see all the disposable cups going out the door.

Using reusable cups, rinsing your reusable cup with cool water as opposed to hot water, and avoiding milk (especially late type drinks) are all great ways of reducing your coffee's carbon footprint. My pledge is to only get coffee if I can use a reusable mug, and I rarely use milk in my coffee. Learn more with this great report from DEQ
