Day one - Both shower heads have been replaced and I've repaired the two bathroom faucets. I still have to replace the kitchen sink faucet because the flow control broke, but since it's not leaking, it's not high on the priority list. I can guarantee that whatever faucet I replace it with will be the most water efficient one I can get. Living on a well during a drought is challenging at the very minimum!

    Water Fix Leaky Faucets
Fixing leaky faucets is one of the tasks that we can easily put off until later. Good job on completing this action! How will you use the momentum from completing this action to increase your water efficiency?

I used grey water form the kitchen sink on my tomatoes and peppers this year, and will continue to do that. Keeping the faucets in good working order is the smart thing to do. Next project is moving hoses inside so they don't get split over the winter. and socking the outdoor faucets.

    Transportation Work from Home
It takes the average worker in the United States 26 minutes to travel to work. One way to fix long commutes would be to make cities more affordable. An even simpler option: promote the use of telework. Are you in an industry that would allow you to work from home? What are some obstacles you might find yourself facing while working from home?

In Vermont the internet is a challenge, but I do work from home as often as I can. The days I don't work from home, I commute bu bus and work on the bus.

    Food Plant an Herb Garden
Consider the ways you can garden: a plot of land? a patio container? hanging basket? windowsill gardens? What would work best for your living situation and lifestyle?

I've had peppers and tomatoes in pots on my deck all summer. The squirrels and chipmunks got more tomatoes than I did, but the peppers are looking good. I have a garden table on the kitchen deck that has a greenhouse cover, so I'll be planting greens in there for harvest into the winter. I'm also going to create two counter top greenhouses with pots, clear plastic trash bags, and tomato cages for my two Seedsheets - herbs and greens - so I can keep the furry heathen housemates OUT of the green goodness!.

    Simplicity De-Clutter My Home
How can you prevent yourself from accumulating more things in the future?

The accumulation is because of not disposing of things during previous moves. Now that a parvo virus, feline panleukopenia has visited, I have to get rid of things that the fosters came in contact with that I cannot disinfect. It's been a great push to start the process - the downstairs bathroom and mudroom are done, upstairs doesn't have much accumulation, so all I really have left is the living space downstairs and I've already got the truck lined up to take everything away! Not accumulating more is going to be easy. I've got more than enough supplies for all the projects I could make and will not add anything to the collection unless I have a) finished a project, or b) need it for a specific project which cannot be finished without it.
