Health
Happiness
I will write down three things every day that I am grateful for, or send one email every day thanking or praising someone.
Waste
Use a Reusable Water Bottle
I will keep 3 disposable plastic bottle(s) from entering the waste stream by using a reusable water bottle.
Waste
Skip the Straw
Plastic bags and small plastic pieces like straws are most likely to get swept into our waterways. I will keep 1 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill and ocean each day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.
Water
Fix Leaky Faucets
I will fix faucets or report leaky faucets to facilities that have been wasting up to 9 gallons (34 L) of water per faucet every day.
Water
5-Minute Showers
I will save up to 20 gallons (75 L) of water each day by taking 5-minute showers.

REFLECTION QUESTIONWasteWhile water bottles serve an important role in places for health and safety, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. Can you identify the barriers in making this a new habit? How can you set yourself up for success in making this a permanent change?
Christina Rodriguez 9/25/2018 9:02 AMA current barrier is that I have a new 24 pack of water bottles. Moving forward I can set my intentions to not buy them anymore and get back to using my filtered recipient & reusable bottles that I have already in my home. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWasteHow could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?
Christina Rodriguez 9/25/2018 8:59 AMBy viewing materials as multi use I can reduce waste and use my creativity to re-purpose things as long as I can. -
