    Food Reduce Animal Products
What do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than in other places, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?

I often wonder if our tendency to eat meat comes from a "scarcity mindset." In harsher climates, eating animals/animal products is a good way to have food during the winter. This might suggest that north Americans value high-calorie/protein foods more than veggies. We would do well to remind ourselves that many other traditional cultures live well off of little or no meat.
