Elicia's actions
Simplicity
Eat Mindfully
I will eat all of my meals without distractions, e.g., phone, computer, TV, or newspaper.
Health
Happiness
I will write down three things every day that I am grateful for, or send one email every day thanking or praising someone.
Waste
Recycle Everything I Can
Contamination prevents what is recyclable from being recycled. I will spend 60 minutes researching and recycling all materials that are accepted by local haulers or drop stations in my community.
Waste
Use a Reusable Mug
I will avoid sending 10 disposable cup(s) to the landfill each day by using a reusable mug.
Health
Exercise Daily
Exercise is a great stress blaster! I will exercise for 30 minute(s) each day.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Recycle Everything I CanWhat have you learned about what is accepted by local haulers for recycling, what you can drop off or ship to certain places, and what is not recyclable in your area? What is the most difficult part of recycling for you?
Elicia Rosen-Fox 10/24/2018 11:08 AMI can only drop off medical supplies, prescription drugs that are no longer needed and big items like TV's at the local recycling events. I have done this in the past. Throwing prescription drugs in the garbage can damage our water supply! Big electronics like TV's should not be put out in the garbage, you can get fined or ticketed. -
Elicia Rosen-Fox 10/16/2018 6:13 AMYou are writing some awesome feedback, can you be more specific in what you been doing? Explain! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Eat MindfullyMindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How do your eating experiences differ when practicing mindfulness?
Elicia Rosen-Fox 10/10/2018 11:19 AMI totally digest better when I eat a relaxed and not rushed meal. -
Elicia Rosen-Fox 10/10/2018 6:06 AMI wish I could exercise every day but I do run a 5K 3 times a week! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable MugMaybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reuseable one but it's just hard to make the switch. Think about what stands in your way of making this a habit. By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?
Elicia Rosen-Fox 10/05/2018 11:20 AMI use metal and plastic cups. Problem is I don't want to use even plastic cups. So I metal cups but they always have a plastic cover. I want to be plastic free! :)
