Once I decided to forgo the straw this seemed to make me forgo the plastic cup as well and now I am remembering to bring my reusable cup more often.

Julie, doesn't it seem odd/cool how 1 small step cascades into others? Small steps take us on long journeys, right? And we can be grateful for the scenery on the way.

Water Say No to Plastic Straws
What single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?

I found a cup to take to my favorite coffee shop the last couple of days. I think it is silly that I felt like one of those "environmental" people when I first brought it in, but all of the baristas were awesome. Sometimes I have to get out of my own head and quit thinking about what others will think of something as silly as bringing my own cup to the coffee shop.

I love to go hiking with my friend on the weekend, we get out in the foothills and talk and let her dog run all over! Love it!

Practicing gratitude keeps me focused on what I can do, and what is good around me which keeps me motivated- a great feed back loop!
