Roxanne Smothers 10/16/2018 6:02 AMHello Team Cavs!
We've already replaced the 5 LED bulbs I set as my goal. We decided to push on and replaced the outdoor garage fixtures/lights, plus 4 more on our deck.
Full steam ahead!

REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Use an Energy MeterHow can you make your home more energy efficient?
Roxanne Smothers 10/10/2018 4:18 AMAfter purchasing the energy meter we decided when finished with the house we'll move to the shop/garage. My hubby has WAY too many tools and such (being a car restoration guy he would disagree, LOL); it will be interesting to see how we can mediate our footprint from that perspective as well.-
Travis Horton 10/11/2018 6:47 AMOh wow. Sometimes we can't have the best of both worlds. I appreciate his job. We do what we can do!

REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Choose LED BulbsChanging lightbulbs is an excellent first step toward energy efficiency! In what other ways can you exercise your civic duty to protect the environment and reduce carbon emissions?
Roxanne Smothers 10/10/2018 4:16 AMWe're in the process of changing our outside/garage light fixtures to LED ones. Ours are old (from when we build the shop/garage) and due for an update. Going LED will not only reduce our footprint but will not be so hot. We have Robins that nest on one of the fixtures; they need a safe place for the babies (and we love watching them grow up and leave the nest. Did you know that Robins can have 3 clutches per season with the babies leaving the nest within weeks?!-
Travis Horton 10/11/2018 6:48 AMI had no idea that Robins could do that!

REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Power Down the ComputerWhat are other easy things you could do to save energy and reduce your environmental footprint?
Roxanne Smothers 10/04/2018 9:02 AMWe already have a motion sensor switch in the laundry room. I think it might be smart to add one to our upstairs bathroom. It's the master bath so we don't use it as often, but seem to always leave the darn light on!
