Changing lightbulbs is an excellent first step toward energy efficiency! In what other ways can you exercise your civic duty to protect the environment and reduce carbon emissions?

I can think of a couple of ways to do this. First, purchasing an electric car is something I intend to consider next time around. I have some friends who did this so it seems more of an option now. Also, for part of my commute, I could take the train and bike for part of it. I have done this a couple of times already.

What do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other places, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How can we start shifting from a meat-focused food culture to a more plant-based one?

I think many times meat is selected because it is the only choice. As more vegan/vegetarian options are added to the menu, I think people will consume less meat.
