Skip the Straw

Plastic bags and small plastic pieces like straws are most likely to get swept into our waterways. I will keep 1 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill and ocean each day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.

Avoid refined sugar

I will adopt a diet free of refined sugars, which eliminates sweetened beverages, candy, and processed foods.

What you put in, is what you get out. If you eat crappy you feel crappy, if you eat healthy and have a balanced diet you feel more healthy and balanced and are more apt to take part in more healthy activities. I look at it as "paying attention to myself"!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health Avoid refined sugar

No sugar in the coffee can seem rough at first but after awhile I don't really miss it!

How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?
