I will fix faucets or report leaky faucets to facilities that have been wasting up to 9 gallons (34 L) of water per faucet every day.
Health
Eliminate Toxic Plastics
I will avoid buying toxic plastics - including polycarbonate, polystyrene and polyvinyl - and instead replace them with bioplastic or durable options.

Zachariah Strife 8/28/2018 8:42 AMEcochallenge is going to kick off right after I finish moving this year, so my family will have a whole new house to update towards efficiency, and will have left a lot of upgrades behind for the people moving into the house we sold. It's an exciting time for all of us! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWater Fix Leaky FaucetsFixing leaky faucets is one of the tasks that we can easily put off until later. Good job on completing this action! How will you use the momentum from completing this action to increase your water efficiency?
Zachariah Strife 8/28/2018 8:40 AMI plan to take this action a bit further by also replacing our faucets and showerheads with low-flow fixtures at the same time. -
Zachariah Strife 8/20/2018 10:53 AMToday I am working on some preparatory tasks for PCC's 2018 Ecochallenge, amongst other things. While preparing for the challenge, I'm also thinking on how to best meet my own challenges. My biggest challenge this fall will be moving away from disposable plastics. I already use clothe grocery bags, but disposables are everywhere! What are some tricks you have learned for avoiding single-use plastic? -
Zachariah Strife 8/14/2018 7:24 AMEven though I won't be present in person at PCC this Ecochallenge, nor leading a team, I'm still excited to be a part of PCC Eco Panthers. Here's to a successful challenge!
