So far my goal of eliminating my use of plastic bags and water bottles has been a success! I only use reusable bags every time I go shopping and have used my refillable water bottle. Sometimes I find it hard to use a refillable water bottle in La Crosse because the water quality is so low, but my roommates and I received a water dispenser from one of our parents, so now each week we go and fill up our reusable 5 gallon jugs at the store and are able to drink clean water with absolutely no waste. It was easy to get my roommates on board with this as well after I explained what I was doing. So now we are a house with no plastic bags and no plastic bottles, and trying to decide on what eco friendly challenge we can take on next!
