An estimated 71% of seabirds and 30% of turtles have been found with plastics in their stomachs. When they ingest plastic, marine life has a 50% mortality rate. By asking for no straw when placing a drink order, I will keep 3 plastic straw(s) of out of the ocean each day.

Nicki Widowski 10/18/2018 2:21 PMI regularly use straws, plastic bags, soft drink cups, and to go containers. I can use reusable things like metal straws, a cloth shopping bag, and other usable things. -

Nicki Widowski 10/09/2018 3:37 PMOne week into this and it has been experience. With the recent rain, walking for 10 minutes has not been the most fun thing to do. But the non-perfect weather has helped me think about the less superficial things of life that everybody is grateful for, and meditate on the personal things that I am most thankful for. -
