Waste

Skip the Straw

Plastic bags and small plastic pieces like straws are most likely to get swept into our waterways. I will keep 1 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill and ocean each day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.

Well I chose to have my printer print on both sides of the paper but seems I have to make the choice every time I use the printer. So I will have to make the choice every day, not to hard
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

I hardly ever get drinks from a fast food place or anywhere else I normally drink water but I do find myself getting a drink that comes with a meal and it would normally come with a straw. Today I happen to get a meal and since I have my nice hydro flask with some ice cold water in it I asked them to keep the drink I didn’t need it thanks.

Every morning I email/text my wife and let her know how much she means to me and how much I appreciate everything she does for our family.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Energy Adjust the Thermostat
Your utility company is able to tell you your average energy usage. Ask them how your energy usage compares to others in your zipcode, and in your state. What other steps can you take each day to reduce your electricity usage?

I just happened to not use my ac unit for a couple weeks now and had my wife set the thermostat to 65 instead of 68.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

Consider the ways you can garden: a plot of land? a patio container? hanging basket? windowsill gardens? What would work best for your living situation and lifestyle?

I have a raised garden bed next to my fence that gets plenty of sun and is protected from the east wind.
