I didn't realize how many other things I typically do while eating. Browsing my phone, reading, working, watching TV etc. Eating mindfully has really been a challenge!

This weekend was so beautiful I had to spend the entire day yesterday outdoors. Soaking in the last bit of sunshine and fall weather was great!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Simplicity Go for a Daily Walk
Fresh air and movement are good for our entire being and can help us think more clearly and creatively. How does taking a walk each day affect yourself and/or your work?

My daily walk acts as a reset to mind and body. I'm moving which increases blood flow which stimulate cognitive abilities. Walking especially outdoors always helps to reduces stress and gives you a change to pause and reassess the task at hand.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Meet My Local Farmers
When you know who produces your food, you are connecting personally to your complex regional food system. What are the advantages of knowing who produces your food and where it comes from? Do you think this might enable someone to advocate for a better quality of life for those who produce their food, both near and far?

Knowing who produces your food allows you a direction connection to what chemicals or lack there of are going into your food and essentially your body. You have more control and choice with your food, which leads to empowerment and the ability to advocate for other local food options.
