REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Power Down the ComputerWhat are other easy things you could do to save energy and reduce your environmental footprint?
Curtis Wray 10/23/2018 8:23 AMunplug small appliances when they aren't in use (like a sprinkler controller - or a toaster) -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Find Local Recycling DepotsOur ability to recycle certain things ebbs and flows based upon many factors. Luckily there are places that accept uncommon things to recycle or dispose of in a less harmful way. What did you find when looking for places to recycle items that can't be recycled in your curbside bin?
Curtis Wray 10/19/2018 8:55 AMI found that mixed material padded envelopes are not easily recyclable - which is too bad. I have noticed that Amazon has switched to all plastic padded envelopes. So that is something. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Go for a Daily WalkHow do you experience your neighborhood or city differently when walking instead of driving?
Curtis Wray 10/09/2018 11:26 AMI enjoy looking at the fall colors more when i don't have to worry about driving. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Go for a Daily WalkFresh air and movement are good for our entire being and can help us think more clearly and creatively. How does taking a walk each day affect yourself and/or your work?
Curtis Wray 10/09/2018 11:25 AMit helps me stretch my legs and gives a good change of scenery compared to looking at a display all day -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Go get a check upHow do you practice self care?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use Reusable BagsWhat do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reuseable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to establish this a successful habit?

Curtis Wray 10/03/2018 9:40 AM"Know my health" is another good one, since in a few weeks we have the on-site Know My Numbers. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable MugMaybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reuseable one but it's just hard to make the switch. Think about what stands in your way of making this a habit. By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?
Curtis Wray 10/03/2018 9:34 AMOne challenge to switching to the reusable mug is the need to wash it in a timely manner. I tend to only wash my mug at my desk maybe once a week. -
Curtis Wray 10/03/2018 9:25 AM"Go for a daily walk" is an action for both Nature and Simplicity. Track that action and get two for the price of one!-
Jacob Sanchez 10/03/2018 12:02 PMThat's a good tip!
