Dominique's actions
Simplicity
Eat Mindfully
I will eat all of my meals without distractions, e.g., phone, computer, TV, or newspaper.
Health
More Fruits and Veggies
I will eat a heart healthy diet by adding 2 cup(s) of fruits and vegetables each day to achieve at least 4 cups per day.
Water
Install a Low-Flow Showerhead
I will save up to 15 gallons (56 L) of water a day by installing a low-flow showerhead.
Waste
Skip the Straw
Plastic bags and small plastic pieces like straws are most likely to get swept into our waterways. I will keep 3 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill and ocean each day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.
Water
5-Minute Showers
I will save up to 20 gallons (75 L) of water each day by taking 5-minute showers.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Dominique Wright 9/20/2018 5:42 PMHey Team!
My name is Dominique and I'm a 1st year business management student. I'm 25 and have 1 prior degree and I own two small businesses. The reason I started this challenge is because Travis sat down in a booth with my sisters and I and he asked us if we wanted to give it a shot and we all said sure!
I'm a mom to an awesome 6 year old and I would love to be able to use this challenge to teach him to be more mindful of how our actions can either help or harm the environment we live in and learn a little bit about habits I could change in the process!-
Travis Horton 9/20/2018 6:56 PMThanks for coming on board! I dig your style! This is going to be amazazing!

REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Skip the StrawHow could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?
Dominique Wright 9/20/2018 5:32 PMI could do this by being more mindfully aware of the actions I take daily and how they can affect our environment-
Dominique Wright 9/20/2018 6:30 PMI have to admit, giving up plastic straws is going to be a toughie for me, but I'm always down for another excuse to buy a new tumbler :)
