OMG the final day!!  Thank you guys for letting me be a part of your team!  Looking back, this challenge got me started on the habit of my gratitude journal, which has had a really positive impact for me.  It helped kick my lagging running habit into gear, even motivating me to sign up for a HALF MARATHON that is going to push me to run more in the months ahead.  And EcoChallenge 2018 gave me an excuse to FINALLY, after (literally!) years of procrastinating, recycle my old electronics and batteries.  I'm grateful to have had this push, and I'm honored that I got to spend it with all of you.  Can't wait to see you all soon!

I feel like I'm ready to have a cookie! However, I do feel like I have more energy in the day without the highs and lows of a sugar boost!

We put storm windows on our draftiest old windows and new weather stripping on our drafty back door. Still need to do something about the rest of our multi-pane, 1915 windows—suggestions welcome! Hoping to find a cost-effective, non-ugly way to keep the heat in and cold out

This quote feels right for the eco-challenge:

"When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the universe" - John Muir

    Water Fix Leaky Faucets
Fixing leaky faucets is one of the tasks that we can easily put off until later. Good job on completing this action! How will you use the momentum from completing this action to increase your water efficiency?

Well, The faucet in the kitchen was leaky - all it needed was tightening in a few locations. The toilet bowl runs on occasion - I will look into replacement parts for the interior so that it does not reoccur.

Air and water pollution are big environmental factors hat affect the pacific northwest.  They touch on a million different everyday things you probably never realized, from the quality of grown produce to the health of seafood you may eat to the functioning of your own immune system.

Eating dinner and breakfast outside on the terrace is a lot more peaceful than staring at a monitor.
