    Cycling and walking help keep me aware of the area and what is happening in my community.  Since I am not whizzing past everything so quickly I am able to notice things like new construction, houses for sale/rent, and especially event signs that allow me to participate in community gatherings more often.

    Today I am thankful for the people I surround myself with. Very positive go getters who are always willing to help.  I'm thankful that while though life is not perfect I have everything I need.  I'm also thankful for my dog lol. Seems weird and simple but he has my heart and can turn any frown upside down

    Getting to sleep earlier has actually helped my sleep pattern as well as stretched the amount of time I sleep. So, I feel a lot more rested with just an extra 30 min of sleep.

    Being outside allows me to connect with nature in a way I'm not able to when I'm simply looking out a window.  I have the ability to stop and explore in depth new areas that catch my attention.  Today, on my walk home I am taking the Springwater trail rather that walking down Milwaukie like I normally do.  According to the map this is going to...

    I am thankful today for the amazing potluck we had at work. People took time and effort to create awesome goodies for everyone else. It was selfless and customer service appreciation week is amazing since most business's do recognize CS Reps.

    I love my neighborhood. When I walk instead of drive, I'm able to enjoy the smaller details of the scenery.  Today, I noticed a Purple and Blue painted house that I had not seen in the past 3 years I have lived there.

    Walk or cycle whenever possible rather than driving. If your destination is too far to walk or cycle, you can always take public transit to help reduce your carbon footprint.

    PGE sent me an energy saver kit with energy efficient lightbulbs and shower head.  This challenge pushed me to take the time and change the bulbs throughout my house.
