I believe that it can and we must make an effort. However if the earth’s population becomes completely out of balance with available land for resources, we have system failures in all areas of sustainability. Science is not magic. The ‘balance of nature’ provides a very neat and clean balanced equation for living a healthy and good life.

LAST POST - Well, that's it for this year.  I didn't complete all my actions, but I made significant progress in establishing some new daily health habits.  And now that I am aware, I simply can never go back to using so much disposable stuff, ESPECIALLY plastic.
THANK YOU TO ALL THE ECOCHALLENGE STAFF - SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!!

What concerns me the most about how we are affecting the planet is the daily damage in myriad ways that the average person contributes to the overall health of the planet be it waste, over consumption of goods, etc.  The apathy of the average individual is what concerns me most.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Meet My Local Farmers
When you know who produces your food, you are connecting personally to your complex regional food system. What are the advantages of knowing who produces your food and where it comes from? Do you think this might enable someone to advocate for a better quality of life for those who produce their food, both near and far?

Knowing who produces your food will ensure its quality, and this will advocate for a better quality of life for those who produce it, especially for those in distant lands because we will learn the challenges they face.
