    Recycling helps, but it is not the solution to the waste problem. The solution is to generate less waste. I try to do this by reusing or repurposing everything I can and composting.

    At home, I keep the thermostat at 84 during the day and 85 when I go to bed. You may say, "That's too warm!," but believe me, it's not. It is just a matter of getting used to it.

    After moving into our home we changed our thermostat to a NEST programmable. IT has positively impacted our life by helping reduce CO emissions and our electric bill.     When we leave the house we make sure to have our AC at an away temperature. We enjoy our house at 74 when we are home, but when we are not we put it up to 77 to reduce electricity usage.

    Recycling is a way you can exercise your duty, prior to moving into our new home we never recycled. Now that we have the separate trash cans available to us, we make the habit of recycling and it actually feels good to know we are helping the environment.

    For breakfast I went with oatmeal and a bunch of grapes.   For lunch I ate a salad with spinach, microgreens, chickpeas, avocado, and sunflower seeds with a fresh lemon and olive oil dressing.  Yum!! Dinner is still TBD :)
