    Food Smart Seafood Choices

Many of my diet choices fall in the guidelines for healthy fishing.  The main reason is my limited fish diet, but also when I do eat fish I tend to make sure I'm eating certain types of fish that fall within the guidelines.

It's mainly a culture thing.  Hopefully, as we become a more diverse society, our eating habits will change to a more healthy and ecologically sustainable pattern.

I think for a lot of people it's just habit; it's the way they've always eaten. It will take a lot of education to get Americans to shift their eating habits away from a sugary, processed, meat-based diet. I definitely see more people realizing that the "typical" American diet is actually very unhealthy. As more people change their eating habits and lose weight, hopefully family members and friends will see the results and change their eating habits as well.
