Ashley Collins 10/24/2018 5:49 PMOne challenge that I never made it to was carrying my trash. I think that I am likely to give this try as I am currently slowly but surely trying to make my way as close to a zero-waste lifestyle as I can. So far I've been using less one use plastic, etc. and switching them out for more reusable sturdy items such as real silverware, plates, cups rather than plastic and paper. I am also working on only using shampoo bars, non-disposable razors, etc. I have even made some of my own products such as sugar scrubs, etc. rather than buying the ones in plastic tubs and bottles. I am excited to continue with this and see how much change I can make. -
Ashley Collins 10/24/2018 5:45 PMI have really enjoyed this month's challenges. I think it was very helpful to really open up peoples' minds and eyes. I think one of the biggest impacts I've seen so far especially through the feed is how many realized how wasteful our culture/society/selves are. I think that the waste category was one that many people sought to change in their lives and had many challenges that were fairly simple to achieve while still making an impact. -
Ashley Collins 10/24/2018 5:43 PMWhat have you learned from the October EcoChallenge? Have you established any new habits that you are likely to continue? -
Ashley Collins 10/24/2018 5:39 PMDid anyone decide to partake in any of the nature challenges? Did you discover anything new? -
Ashley Collins 10/24/2018 5:38 PMMy "Create your own challenge" was to even further extend the amount of time I spend outside and work community ties by and go for a walk or other activity with friends. We often went into local shops to discover what was available locally. This helped by shopping locally, decreasing the need for a vehicle to purchase goods further away and often ended up with second-hand items rather than purchasing clothes, etc. brand new. -
Ashley Collins 10/24/2018 5:34 PMWhat was your favorite challenge you chose? Why? Did it teach you anything or really open your eyes?
