I notice that people drive to fast! I also notice the sounds and smells. There is a man on my street that puts his extra vegetables out on a side container so that others can take his extras!

    Food Zero-Waste Cooking
In North America, up to 65% of food waste happens at the consumer level. Chef Steven Satterfield advocates for utilizing every part of a vegetable. How can you incorporate using an entire vegetable, including the skins, tops, and stalks during your next meal prep?

I feed the ends of cucumbers, carrots, zucchini, etc., to my dogs. They eat almost any fruit and vegetable. for other bits, I keep a ziploc in the freezer for this. When it's full I make vegetable broth

That's too funny! I know a lot of people that feed leftover veggies to their chickens :)

I plan to spread the rich compost on my flower beds.   It's created an awareness of how much food waste is produced and often times goes to the landfill.

That food containmented items will ultimately go to the landfill.  I wash all items to insure they're recycled.

This is tricky since lots of big companies are now touting the "greenness" of their products. I've bought some that I later noticed were owned by Clorox, a sign of greenwashing.

This was an easy one for me since I don't drink sodas or eat candy. I do eat chocolate and drink wine though, so those are harder to cut out.
