Katy Alberti 10/12/2018 9:42 AMI have learned a lot about the Flint water crisis. Chicago comes up a lot in those conversations too because all our pipes are lead. I'm now paranoid the lead is worse than the city lets on. :-/ Luckily, my friend Colleen who reps Shaklee alerted me to the fact that most water filtration pitchers don't filter lead! What??? That's the main reason I have one.... Shaklee's does though. I know what I want for Christmas.
(this Shaklee endorsement brought to you by ME who was shocked to hear this and thinks everyone else needs to know too! If you wanna know more, I'm happy to connect you with Colleen.)
PS did you know how awesome Flint is? The water thing really overshadows the great things about the city. Maybe I'll make a trip out. -
Katy Alberti 10/07/2018 8:27 PMI am much more inclined to learn through podcasts. So I googled “podcast about water justice” having no idea if that would even be a thing. But found this one! Words on water. The first episode is pretty good. https://wordsonwaterwef.com/ -
Katy Alberti 10/03/2018 9:06 PMI rode my bike to pick up Luey at daycare today. I normally drive but I challenged myself to do different even though it’s not one of my official challenges. Helps that Luey loves riding the bike and it was beautiful outside. And I bought a “new” fall wardrobe for Luey at the thrift store for just $19!!
