  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health Support Pollution Reduction
What environmental factors affect human health in your region, and how do they affect it?

Juan Guillermo Berrios 10/21/2018 5:31 AM
My region is burning diesel to generate energy. There are plans to initially move to natural gas in what we are integrating sustainable energy systems. In addition, we have a serious problem of landfill availability. We are evaluating the alternative of waste to energy and education to reduce the generation of garbage.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Water Fix Leaky Faucets
Fixing leaky faucets is one of the tasks that we can easily put off until later. Good job on completing this action! How will you use the momentum from completing this action to increase your water efficiency?

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nature Join An Outdoor Project
How well do you know the area you live in? Is a deep knowledge of your surroundings -- known as a 'sense of place' -- important to you? If so, why?

    Juan Guillermo Berrios's avatar
Juan Guillermo Berrios 10/19/2018 5:26 AM
I do not know my surroundings enough. It would be important to know in order to know how to take care of it and enjoy its benefits.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Water Mulch the Base of Trees and Plants
Where are your nearest natural bodies of water? How might they be affected by runoff?

    Juan Guillermo Berrios's avatar
Juan Guillermo Berrios 10/18/2018 6:51 AM
The water goes to a creek
and it is seen that it is affecting all the land it receives. With the mush in the plants we will help to solve that problem. An easy and economical solution to implement.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Energy Online Energy Audit
What most interested or surprised you about your own energy footprint?

I was able to identify some old equipment that consumes a lot of energy and that there are already more effective new equipment energetically
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

How can your community support inclusive decision making?

    Juan Guillermo Berrios's avatar

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Personal Waste Audit
Why is it so difficult to understand the impacts our purchases and waste have on other people, animals, and places? How might your experience with this challenge impact your future consumption and choices?

    Juan Guillermo Berrios's avatar
Juan Guillermo Berrios 10/14/2018 5:50 AM
It is that we do not measure the consequences of our actions to really know the impact. Now that I evaluate what and how much I generate, I can take the necessary controls to reduce the amount of waste significantly.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nature Explore My Area
How can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place?
