  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food Watch a Documentary about Food Sovereignty
How does food sovereignty address the complex agrarian transition to modern food systems?

    Ada Camp's avatar
    Ada Camp 10/18/2018 3:54 PM
My movie was not about this, I am sorry
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Advocate for Greener Vehicles
Reducing (or eliminating) exhaust emissions and improving public health are two benefits of green vehicles. What other motivators inspire you to consider switching to a more fuel-efficient vehicle?

    Ada Camp's avatar
    Ada Camp 10/16/2018 9:01 PM
I really wish my family could have a more fuel-efficient vehicle, but we don't and I can tell my parents more about them and then maybe we could get one nest time we get a cr.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food Buy From a Farmers Market
What is one food choice that you make, or could make, that would do more good and less harm?

    Ada Camp's avatar
    Ada Camp 10/16/2018 8:59 PM
To eat a lot less beef, which I don't eat that much of, I average about 5 hot dogs a month at most no steak or other beef, but I could try to eat less beef, and definetly less bread!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Health Learn More about Food Deserts
What are the implications of access to nutritious food for a community?

    Ada Camp's avatar
    Ada Camp 10/16/2018 8:58 PM
Well, Conclusions that can be drawn are that most community have a local farmers market where they can get healthy nutritious food to eat. Also at least 1 person in each community is advocating for healthier food choices, so I think that community's are slowly being turned to eat more healthy food.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Community Support Native Communities
Indigenous speaker and activist Winona LaDuke says that, "most indigenous ceremonies, if you look to their essence, are about the restoration of balance — they are a reaffirmation of our relationship to creation. That is our intent: to restore, and then to retain balance and honor our part in creation." Why is balance important to sustainability?

    Ada Camp's avatar
    Ada Camp 10/16/2018 8:55 PM
Because if we want to regain sustainability we have to be balanced
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

Because they are better for the enviorment, and supporting those type of people is one of my goals
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Water Mulch the Base of Trees and Plants
Where are your nearest natural bodies of water? How might they be affected by runoff?

    Ada Camp's avatar
    Ada Camp 10/16/2018 8:30 PM
I think I have a creek near my house, and if water runs into it and makes it higher the bank could overflow and some peoples houses could be flouded
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Simplicity Have a Garage Sale
Building community is good for your soul and fun to do! What were some of the positive outcomes that came out of your group garage sale?

    Ada Camp's avatar
    Ada Camp 10/16/2018 8:29 PM
People can get more stuff they need for a cheaper price, and people can meet new people in the community
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nature Explore My Area
How can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place?

    Ada Camp's avatar
    Ada Camp 10/16/2018 8:28 PM
I can learn what animals I am neighbors with, learn what trees or plants surround my home, and just be more aware of my surroundings and notice if there are any rare species in your life
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food Try a New Way to Prep
Canning and pickling food is a great way to have delicious summer fruits and vegetables all year round. Just make sure to follow the canning and pickling guidelines from the USDA. What are some foods that you would like to preserve and enjoy later in the year?

    Ada Camp's avatar
    Ada Camp 10/16/2018 8:27 PM
I would like to preserve peaches, and necterines. I have also been baking a lot of bread with my mom and my sister when she comes home from college. We constantly have sourdough starter in our fridge.
